OOO, I'm Pretty Happy With My New Stamps!

I opened my kiln this morning and there were a few of my new stamp pieces that I carved last week.  I'm pretty happy with them!
This is the little clover from my new logo without the WCK letters.  It's a cute little 7/8 inch pendant.  I might put it on a bracelet.
 I like this leaf.
 and I like this bird - I didn't carve this stamp, it's a button
and my little tree.....mmmm, needs a little work.  It's pretty wonky.
The rest of the pieces from this batch are glaze samples.  Some I love, some I hate.
I'll be glazing samples all week.
And these last two pendants decided they liked their wires too much to let go :O(
Personal note, Mark was riding his bicycle yesterday down a big hill and a dog ran out in front of him and he hit the dog and flipped over the bars onto the street.  Fractured elbow.  Poor Mark.

Working On New Patterns This Week...

I've been carving lots of new stamps this week.
Here are a few of the buttons I've made with the new stamps...
 And pendants

I've also carved a new logo for my shop and decided to make a pendant for myself with it.
All of these and more will be in the kiln tonight -  I can't wait to get to the glazing!  I'm still carving stamps today - they are so fun to play around with new designs.

New Items in My Etsy Shop Today!

I listed five of my mug cozies in my Etsy shop this morning!

And a bunch of new handmade ceramic pendants and buttons including these in this new glaze combination...

I made a bunch of other pieces in the earthenware that haven't been listed yet but will be soon.  I love this button!
I'm glad I made two of them because I used the second one on the mug cozy that I'm keeping for myself.
Here are some of the other pieces from the batch.

These and others will be in the shop later this week.
Have a great Tuesday!

Fall Came Out Of My Kiln This Morning

I am so so happy with this batch from the kiln!  I love every color and every piece!

I even made a few spiders.
And I could look at this glaze all day.
I love love love the colors in it!

I will start loading these pieces to my Esty shop later today and all weekend.  I'm off to glaze the earthenware clay and load up the kiln again.  Have a great Friday! yay Friday!

Cleaning Clay and Knitting

I spent the entire day yesterday making buttons and pendants in stoneware, porcelain, and earthenware clays!  It was a looooong day at the desk but I have a full kiln of stoneware and porcelain bisque being fired today and tomorrow I will bisque fire the earthenware stuff that I'm cleaning up today.  I can't wait to see these glazed.  I love them.
I have also been knitting like crazy!  I love these mug cozies!  I've been playing around with buttons to see what I want to use - I think I will wait till some of the new pieces from yesterday are glazed.  I'd like to get these listed by this weekend.
I like how they look on a mug.
some have good "guy" colors.
but this one might be my favorite so far.
That's what is happening here.  Have a great Tuesday!

MIA No Longer!

I can't believe it's been so long since I've posted!  This past month has been one thing after another including a three day stay in the hospital for me because for some reason my heart has decided to run on overdrive!  Still not sure what is going on with it - I'm running on medium speed but my heart is running on extra high.  Anyhoo, I am still playing with glaze combinations.  I am really happy with these next three glazes.  They are on porcelain (top on the right) and on brown stoneware.

These pieces are all in the same pink glaze - the three on the bottom had some of the glazed wiped off.
and here it is on the stoneware.  It's dark, but I like it for fall.
I made this little acorn and look...there is a number 5 on it?  what's up with that?
and then I flipped it over and there is the number 115! doo doo doo doo...a message from beyond?
I have also been knitting.  I'm making mug cozies to use with my buttons.  I like this first one the best so far-I really like this pattern.

Yesterday was Kellie's birthday-my baby is 11.  I'm old as dirt. :O)  Kellie said to me this morning...you know your going to start shrinking now right? Pretty soon you'll be short enough to fit in my clothes.  go to school kid!
